Kangarilla Grand Stand

In 2020, Nelson Surveyors faced a delicate task: scanning the historic Kangarilla Grandstand for essential repair works without disturbing its original brickwork. Using cutting-edge 3D scanning technology, our team captured every detail of the structure, ensuring absolute precision for the placement of the new steel frame. The result was 100% accuracy, and the works were completed within three months. No redo’s, mistakes or mishaps!

Smith Creek Bridge

Nelson Surveyors spearheaded the duplication of the Smith Creek Bridge at Reynella – part of the Southern Expressway duplication project. Thirty-six pre-cast blocks weighing 12 tonnes each were used to construct the eight columns of the bridge. Smith Creek is just one of many bridgework projects we’ve been proud to contribute to.

Methodist Church, Moonta

Our high-defintion imagery captured this 158 year old church in Moonta, SA. Built during the mining boom, the church now has capacity for 1250 people, and adds to the rich history of the beautiful coast-town.

Traditional 2D plans often caused delays on construction sites, necessitating on-site walks to comprehend changes. Enter Leica Captivate software. The software’s 3D point cloud scans provide clear representations of infrastructure sections, enabling real-time understanding and verification of construction projects. Our team have streamlined surveying tasks, improved efficiency, and reduced unnecessary costs and delays on intricate projects by being one of the first surveying companies to leverage this new technology.
